Through our initial interview session and using a range of career tools, we will help you to identify which of the 16 different career clusters you might be interested in and where your skills and academics will be best served in any function of the career clusters. This will help determine which course at university might be right for you, what to do post university, or whether or not university is right for you. We aim to keep options as wide open as possible in the early stages and then build up knowledge and experience as you progress.

There are an increasing number of degree apprenticeships on offer or you could head straight into the workplace; particularly if you know what specific career you would like to do, and your chosen career offers on the job training.

Most individuals work with us through 2 or 3 initial sessions to career plan. A first session is typically 60 to 90 minutes and any follow up sessions around an hour. Once we have identified your areas of interest and if you are applying to university, we work with you to identify and organise super curricular activities, these are many, but might include MOOCs, online resources, identifying further reading or academic competitions. If you can do this towards the end of Lower 6 it means you are well prepared to write your personal statement at the beginning of Upper 6 and you have plenty of good content to include.
