To defer or not defer?
If you are sure you want to take a Gap Year then that is great. If you have a plan to do something meaningful and earn some money and enjoy a break between School and University it can breathe a real renewed enthusiasm for your studies when you pick them back up the following year.

Sixth Form Planning
There is no underestimating the change between GCSEs and Sixth Form. It might seem to begin with those 3 or 4 chosen subjects you have enjoyed, or a new one or two that you are genuinely interested in will be a lot less work than your GCSEs. Wrong! It is a massive step change in your thinking and planning of your time and workload.
Gap Year or Gap month?
Travelling abroad is useful as one element of getting ‘work ready’ as an undergraduate or school leaver. One of the most useful aspects of this life experience is what you will find out about yourself and your interpersonal skills to enable you to better sell yourself in an interview.
